CRITERIA:

All Genres of music + Spoken Word. Must be original song that you own the rights to; recording quality does not have to be good...you will get a free day at HANDSOME GRANDSON STUDIOS to record if you win!

WHO CAN SUBMIT?

Anyone! We accept music from across the country, but %50 of our winning slots are reserved for local talent

Band Name, # of members, location, all contact info, website, instrumentation 

PAYMENT:

$25 for the first song, $5 per additional song

(checks made out to The Starving Artist)

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The submission fee is to help cover the cost of printing these CDs and marketing, (which helps YOU as an artist) The Starving Artist is a volunteer-run Non-profit Organization. Our goal in this competition is first and foremost to give an opportunity to our local musicians and artist, and bring new music to the region!

DISCOUNT FOR THOSE WHO SUBMITTED LAST YEAR: 

For our dear returning bands that submitted to Volume 1 contest last year but did not get chosen, you may waive all additional fees beyond the first track. In other words, submit as many songs as you like for a cap fee of $25, (or $10 if you are a returning visual artist)
